Lives and works in Tokyo

First began painting when studying at the law department of Komazawa University. Since then, Yokoyama has focused mostly on oil painting, but in recent years has expanded his area of focus, moving from the boundaries of two-dimensions into three-dimensional pieces and reliefs. Yokoyama's practice is built on spontaneity, and isn't labelled with a particular style or genre. Aesthetics are offered free reign - able to rise to the surface as imagination takes over. Working at his own measured pace, he continues to build his body of work one piece at a time, in close dialogue with materials and aesthetics.

駒澤大学法学部在学中の2002年ごろから独学で絵画制作を始める。以降、油彩画を中心に国内外で発表を続け、近年では絵画と並行し、立体作品にも制作の幅を広げている。特定の作風にこだわらず、その時々のテーマに最適なスタイルを探りながら多様な作品を制作する。限られたペースで一つずつ作品を積み上げながら、これまで物と美学に向き合って制作を続けてきた。

2020年・2022年、著名なキュレーターが審査員を務めるUK のアート専門誌Aesthetica Magazine 主催「Aesthetica Art Prize」において、絵画部門（2020）・立体部門（2022）でともにLong List に選出。
